OECD: database on immigrants in OECD and non-OECD countries (DIOC)

Provides, in free access, the files of microdata of the national census of 2000/01, 2005/06 and 2010/11 compiled by the OCDE. Unfolds in two bases: the DIOC, with data of the OCDE countries, and the DIOC-E (extended), constructed in collaboration with the World Bank, with data of 100 countries of destination.

Description

Microdata files of the national census of 2000/01, 2005/06 and 2010/11, on CSV format (compressed), analysable with a statistical treatment program, such as SPSS.

Source: national census; additionally, records of the population and national employment surveys.

Time period: 2000/01, 2005/06, and 2010/11.

Geographical scope: OCDE (DIOC) countries and 100 countries of destination (DIOC-E), whilst countries of residence; over 200 countries of origin.

Included variables: country of residence, country of birth, nationality, length of stay, gender, age, level of education, field of study (higher), labour status, occupation, activity sector. The variables are grouped in different files, not being possible all the crossings. Not all variables are available in all the bases.
