The public presentation of the data from the most recent statistical report published by the Emigration Observatory will take place on February 17, at 3pm. The event takes place in meeting room 1 of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto and will be attended by Lígia Ferro, from the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto, and Cláudia Pereira, from the Emigration Observatory, in the opening session, followed by the presentation of the latest data on Portuguese emigration by the scientific coordinator of the Emigration Observatory, Rui Pena Pires. The session will also include a round table discussion moderated by Tânia Leão, from the Institute of Sociology at the University of Porto, with the participation of João Teixeira Lopes, from the Institute of Sociology at the University of Porto, Emília Araújo, from the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho, Jorge Oliveira, from the Directorate-General of Consular Affairs and Portuguese Communities of the Northern region, and Afonso Bento, from the Native Science association.
