The book “Atlas of Portuguese Emigration” will be launched on January 16 at 6pm. The presentation will take place in auditorium C1.04, in building II of Iscte, and will be opened by the scientific coordinator of the Emigration Observatory, Rui Pena Pires. A debate, moderated by Cláudia Pereira (Observatório da Emigração, CIES-Iscte) and with the participation of Jorge Malheiros (CEG, Instituto de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território), Dulce Pimentel (DGPR, FCSH-UNL) and José Carlos Marques (Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, Centro Interdisciplinar de Ciências Sociais), follows. The event ends with the presence of the Secretary of State for Portuguese Communities, Paulo Cafôfo, at the closing session.
