After 2020 saw a decrease in the number of Portuguese entering Belgian territory, largely explained by the effects of the pandemic on restricting mobility. In 2021 and 2022 there were increases, and in 2022 the highest number of entries since 2013 was reached. Between 2000 and 2022, the number of Portuguese entering Belgian territory was lowest in 2000 (1,324 entries) and highest in 2013 (4,332 entries).
