More than 4 thousand Portuguese emigrated to Belgium in 2013
Inês Vidigal
According to OECD data, in 2013, 4,332 Portuguese entered Belgium. That international organization counted a total of 105,519 entries of foreigners in Belgian territory, representing the Portuguese 4% of this total. +

Since 2000, the number of Portuguese entries in Belgium has been steadily increasing, more pronounced and significant since 2006. In 2009 and 2010, there was a similar decline on emigration, as was registered to other countries, in the context of the global financial crisis. The year of 2013 was the year in which the highest number of entries was recorded.
Today, Belgium is the seventh country where most Portuguese emigrate.
