Between 2004 and 2013, the trend was towards an increase in the number of Portuguese entries in Brazil, except for a slight decrease in 2006. Between 2010 and 2013, there was even an exponential increase in Portuguese emigration to Brazil, being the last year the one with the maximum value of the series under analysis: 2,913 entries. In 2014 there was a reversal of the trend, considerably reducing the number of Portuguese entries. In 2015 this number decline again, although in a less pronounced way. Brazil is the twelfth country where most Portuguese emigrate.
