The number of Portuguese entering Norway in 2015 decreases to less than 500
Inês Vidigal
There were 488 Portuguese who entered Norway in 2015, according to Statistics Norway. That Norwegian agency accounted for a total of 59,067 entries of foreigners in Norway, with the Portuguese representing 0.8% of that total. +

From 2001 to 2015 there were three distinct phases in the entry of Portuguese into Norway. In the first, from 2001 to 2009, the number of entries registered was inconsistent, varying almost annually between increases and decreases. From 2009 until 2013, there has been a marked growth. In 2013, the maximum peak of the series under analysis was reached, with 815 Portuguese entering Norway. In 2014 began the third phase, with the decrease of Portuguese entries in Norway, also verified in 2015. Currently, Norway is the fifteenth country where most Portuguese emigrate.
