Portuguese inflow in Sweden increased in 2015
Inês Vidigal
According to Statistics Sweden, 330 Portuguese entered Sweden in 2015. That Swedish agency accounted for a total of 134,240 entries of foreigners in Sweden, with the Portuguese representing 0.2% of that total. +

Since 2000, the number of Portuguese inflows in Sweden has increased almost continuously, being more pronounced in 2012. Over the period under review, there have been two breaks: the first in 2007, the second in 2010, similar to that in emigration to others countries in the context of the global financial crisis. In 2012, on the other hand, there was a large increase in the number of entries, reaching, for the first time, numbers superiors to 300 in emigration to Sweden. In 2015, the maximum peak of the series was verified, with 330 entries of Portuguese in Swedish territory. Currently, Sweden is the seventeenth country where most Portuguese emigrate.
