Portuguese inflow into Angola grows again in 2015
Inês Vidigal
Contrary to expectations, Portuguese emigration to Angola increased significantly (+ 32%) in 2015. With the available data, the recessive effects of the oil price crisis have not yet been felt in that year. On the contrary, in 2015, growth has not only been maintained but has accelerated since 2013.+

There were at least 6,715 Portuguese who entered Angola in 2015, according to the consulates of the Republic of Angola in Lisbon and Oporto. Information on visas issued by the Angola consulate in Faro is not available. These values correspond to the sum of the following types of visas issued by the consulates of Angola in Oporto and Lisbon, for Portuguese in situations of emigration: privileged, work (the most common), work by protocol, permanent residence and others (studies and Temporary permanence).
