Emigration to Italy decreased in 2015

There were 354 Portuguese who entered Italy in 2015, according to Eurostat data. This European agency accounted for a total of 280,078 foreign admissions in Italy, with the Portuguese accounting for 0.1% of this total. +

Since 2000, the number of Portuguese entries in Italy has fluctuated annually, increasing in a few years, decreasing in others. During the period under review, the lowest influx value into Italy was recorded in 2002, when only 297 Portuguese entered the country. The highest figure occurred in 2007, with 594 entries on Italian territory. From 2013 emigration to Italy returned to pre-crisis levels. Between 2013 and 2014, it stagnated, having dropped again in 2015.
