After a peak in 2005, Portuguese emigration to Andorra declined abruptly between that year and 2012, and has since remained stable at comparatively low levels. In 2005, the year in which the highest value of the series under analysis was recorded, 2,776 Portuguese entered Andorra, representing more than 20% of foreigners' arrivals in the country in that year. In 2008, there was the biggest drop recorded in Portuguese emigration to Andorra (-54%), reflecting the abrupt and profound nature of the real estate crisis in Spain. In recent years, the average annual number of Portuguese inflow into Andorra has remained below 300.
