Inês Vidigal
There were 220 Portuguese who entered in Iceland in 2016, according to Statistics Iceland. The Icelandic institute counted a total of 7,859 entries of foreigners in the country, with the Portuguese representing 2.8% of the immigration in that year. +

In the period of greatest Portuguese emigration to Iceland, between 2004 and 2008, Portuguese inflow into that country ranged from a maximum of 520 in 2004 to a number between 200 and 400 in the remaining years. There is then a sudden drop in the number of entries to 57 in 2009 and 22 in the following year. From that year the number of Portuguese entries in Iceland gradually increased, with a more significant increase of 88% between 2015 and 2016.
