For the second consecutive year, the number of Portuguese arriving in Denmark increased. This increase was of 11.4%, with the number of Portuguese emigrants entering Denmark in 2019 representing the second highest value of this century, while the number of total foreigners entering that country fell for the fourth consecutive year (-3.8%). However, Portuguese emigration to Denmark continues to represent a very small fraction of both immigration into this country (1.1%) and total Portuguese emigration (around 1%).
