After two years of growth in the number of Portuguese entries in Luxembourg, in 2020 there is a decrease. However, this decrease (-12.4%) is lower than the decrease in the total number of entries into the country (-15.7%), and therefore the weight of the Portuguese in the total number of entries increased in 2020. Between 2000 and 2020, the number of Portuguese inflows into Luxembourg was minimal in 2000 (2.193 entries) and maximum in 2012 (5.193 entries). The loss of relative importance of Portuguese immigration in Luxembourg has been accentuated: between 2003 and 2020, the number of Portuguese inflows into Luxembourg went from over 29% of the total number of foreign migrants to 14%.
