After the recovery registered in 2021, in 2022 Portuguese emigration to French territory increased again, registering the highest numbers since 2016. It should be noted that the growth of the Portuguese is higher than the increase of the total number of arrivals in the country (28.1%), and therefore the weight of the Portuguese in the total number of arrivals has increased in 2022. Portuguese emigration to France recorded a maximum of 19,658 entries into French territory in 2012 and a minimum of 5,998 entries in 2020. In nine years, the weight of Portuguese entries in France went from 5.6% in 2013 to 2.4% in 2022.
